Sony State of Play (February 2023)

You can always tell the difference between how Nintendo do their directs vs how other companies do their own video presentation. Sony is always halfway there to getting how to do these presentations. The issue is the glut of their stuff isn’t something I personally want. Playstation VR (VR in general) is not something I care about because I am so motion sensitive that it’s not worth building my tolerance because everything they show for VR are not games I want to play. This was clearly a keynote for Suicide Squad because they sunk 15-20 minutes about the game. The first part of the gameplay was good, but it kept going and going and then the devs talked. I don’t need to hear what they have to say, this won’t sell me on the game. Either I was going to get it or not based on the content of the game not what the devs have to say. And then they went into the boring nonsense RPG elements in a menu that is the last thing I want in a video game. I’m over min-maxing in these games, I’d rather play the game than look at numbers. I can’t remember the other new games they showed during this direct that wasn’t already announced and that was just RE4 and Suicide Squad. Oh right they showed more of Street Fighter, and I can’t wait to hear about how that new character is either too political or too woke. Also I’m sure there will be some discourse about Cammy in pants. At least what they showed of the RE4 remake looks good, I can’t wait for that. I take back what I said about the last Nintendo Direct, that was a walk in the park compared to this.

In essence: maybe I’m the problem.
