Work Timeline
Professionally I started as a video editor at Major League Baseball Advanced Media in 2017. There I started off just focusing on churning out around 10 videos a night. The focus being on the various recaps required to produce for the game I was assigned. Those game night assignments were pressure cooker situations that I thrived in and grew as an editor
After growing confidence in both myself and from the supervisors I was given opportunists to work on a range of specialized videos for MLB’s website. One of those clips being MLB’s Must C Clip. These were centered on must see moments from any given game. Whether it is a no hitter, a dazzling defensive play or a player hitting for the cycle.
After that came the sizzle reels, there ranged from a variety of topics from great team moments, player spotlights and historical moments. Some of which were pitched by me
After 3 years at MLB Advanced Media and MLB Network my contract was not renewed and left to challenge myself elsewhere.
In 2021 I was brought in to work the Tokyo Olympics for NBC Sports. It provided a number of challenges ranging from the lack of live spectators and creating story lines for sports I am unfamiliar with.
This even included the day Simone Biles dropped out of the team all around. A moment I had to cover myself while doing all of my regular duties.
I got to cover the first ever skateboarding event for the Olympics, which meant a lot as skateboarding culture was something I grew up with.
Because of the producers trust in my ability to edit videos they asked me to create a Kevin Duran reel which I went above and beyond with.
After the 2020/21 Olympics, I impressed NBC Sports so much that they unanimously brought me back for the winter games where the challenges remained the same.
My last published piece was one I had pitched myself. It was taking NBC’s own camera angle of the figure skating competition and weaving multiple routines into one cohesive and composed routine. To see more of my work you can view my portfolio here
