That 90s Show (Season 01)

In the age where everything gets a second life, Netflix deemed that it’s time to reboot That 70s Show for the modern age. That 90s Show is a direct reboot/spin-off of the original show, dissimilar from That 80s Show, where we do see characters from That 70s Show as adults. Though they aren’t the focus, it still follows teenagers living in the 90s. The only person with a connection to those characters is Foreman’s and Donna’s kid, Leia. And the only two holdovers from the original show are Kitty and Red, who are arguably the best part of the show and at times carry it. The teenagers have a very similar dynamic to the original kids, it’s easy to identify who is supposed to be who. My biggest problem is that even though there are the same number of teenagers in the core group, this group feels bigger than the original. It really feels like six teenagers seems like too many kids. It’s fine, you can watch it, it exists. Something I am trying to pinpoint is how people who’d be my age when 70s Show aired are supposed to watch this. I don’t think their parents are horny to watch that 90s Show, and that isn’t considering how that generation is having fewer kids.

In essence: I think I enjoy it more than How I Met Your Father.
